It was with great sadness that we heard news of the recent death of former Minety player and second team stalwart Dave Hix.
We gather from the family that his funeral will be at Brinkworth church on Friday 9 November at 12.30 pm. They say…
Please wear what he remembers you in. Karen would like you to wear Minety rugby shirts if possible. There is a piss-up afterwards at The Angel in Wootton Bassett. Any flowers or tributes of rugby related stuff to the house by Thursday 8th. Perhaps a signed Minety rugby ball from all might be nice. It will go in the hearse with him and then over to The Angel. There will be a remembrance box in The Angel if you can think of a few words to write down about him.
As suggested, we will be sending a rugby ball to the funeral. If you knew Dave, please sign it when you come to Minety for the rugby this Saturday.
