After a recent match at Minety a 10 page document was thrust into my hand by club Chairman, Dave Peirce. “Look what I’ve been given – a club history.” It makes for fascinating reading and is re-produced, in installments, on this site. Rather than releasing it all at once, it will be presented as a series of episodes, the first detailing the uncertain beginnings, with future installments including details of the “Dreaded Minety Itch”, the club colours and why purple was included, and an explanation of the club badge (and the overly affectionate terrier).
