Dreamers make hard work of it
Supermarine 3rd XV nil – Minety 2nd XV 19pts
Minety seconds made hard work of putting away bottom-placed Supermarine thirds but ended up winning by three tries to none.
With only 13 players available, Minety gleefully press ganged their two physios into service to make up the starting XV.
Matthew Stone scored his debut try for the club and there was a try apiece from Matt Oliver and Stacey Skinner. Michael Scott kicked two conversions and Anthony Willis was Minety’s man of the match.
The final score was 19-nil to Minety, although in a mix-up this was later recorded as 17-nil.
