Dreamers run away with it
Minety 2nd XV 50pts – Westbury 2nd XV 12pts
Minety seconds clocked up eight tries and five conversions in a comprehensive dismissal of their counterparts from Westbury.
Playing with the advantage of the slope, the visitors started well, running in two tries in the first half, one of which they converted.
Their hosts were in fine form, however, and scored four tries and three conversions in the same period, making it 26-12 at the break.
Westbury ran out of steam in the second half and were unable to trouble the scoreboard further. Running freely through a tiring defence, Minety added four more tries, two of which were converted.
The excellent Tom Windle scored a hat-trick of tries for Minety, and the other contributors included the prolific Dellam Murray and Stacey Skinner. Will Mason kicked all five of Minety’s goals.
