Minety honour new shirts

Minety 2nd XV 45 pts – Warminster 2nd XV 8 pts

Proudly wearing their new team strip, sponsored by V-Cars, Minety seconds systematically demolished their visitors from Warminster, beating them by seven tries to one.

Warminster were first to score, landing a penalty goal in the first few minutes of the game. Playing down the hill, they later stole their hosts’ lineout ball to run in a try.

Otherwise, Minety dominated the half thanks to two push-over tries by the forwards, both of which were grounded by number 8 Sean Richards. Outside centre Luke Radcliffe was also in scoring form, belting in for a try from 30 metres out.

Flyhalf Andy Edwards kicked all three conversions and the sides turned round with the score at 21-8.

Coming down the slope in the second half, Minety completely dominated, led by the sterling efforts of the pack. Luke Radcliffe touched down for another score while Edwards landed a hat-trick of tries and kicked two more conversions.

This Saturday, Minety seconds take a trip to play Midsomer Norton fourths.
