Minety 2nd XV 55pts – Swindon 3rd XV 5pts
The speed and agility of Minety seconds proved too much for visiting Swindon thirds.
First half tries from Dellam Murray, Duncan Simpson, Ellis Garland and James Stuart, plus four conversions from Andy Edwards, gave the Minety second team a 28-0 lead at half time.
Playing down hill after the break, the home side soon finished their opponents off.
Swindon scored a quick try after the restart when their number 8 stormed up the slope to make it briefly 28-5, but after that it was all Minety. Andy Edwards added a try and a conversion to his tally, Simpson ran in his second try, and there were touchdowns too for Milo Hartley, Toby Edmonds and Mike Edwards.
Minety gave their Man of the Match award to scrumhalf Simpson for his outstanding performance.
Next Saturday, the seconds travel away to take on Devizes thirds.
