Dorset & Wilts Division 3 North
Dreamers pull away in second half
Minety 2nd XV 32 pts – Devizes 3rd XV 8 pts
Minety seconds finished strongly to beat their opponents from Devizes and claim maximum league points.
The first half of this game was a close fought affair. The visitors kicked a penalty but Minety secured a narrow lead thanks to a try from Milo Hartley, which was converted by Andy Edwards.
Scoring a try straight from the restart, Devizes drew ahead 7-8, but after that Minety moved up a gear and pulled away again. Tries from Andy Brown, Luke Radcliffe and Ben Scott made sure that the home side would claim a bonus point for scoring four or more tries in the match, while two more conversions, a penalty and a drop goal from Edwards ensured a comfortable final margin of victory.
This Saturday, Minety seconds play a friendly away against Corsham thirds.
