Minety RFC

Chairman’s Old Boys Fixture

without comments

We’re delighted to announce that a special rugby match has been organised as part of the annual Beer and Cider Festival on  Saturday 7th September.

Instead of getting a local opposition Jack Ward, this year’s Club Chairman, has been calling around and we can confirm that the fixture will be Minety 1st’s XV versus the Chairman’s Old Boys.

The Chairman’s team will feature a lot of old “faces” who used to play for the club; the likes of Smith, Coe, Hurley, Fitzcharles, Hazell, Clamp plus many many more will be on show!!!

The guest team will also be staying around for beers so should set the day off well.

Details surrounding the nature of the fixture have yet to be finalised but it likely that the game be 3 x 20 minutes (to save the old boys lungs)! probably with a 1.30pm kick off.

Please can you all spread the word to everyone and anyone and lets get a good crowd to watch should be a cracking social club game. (Vp’s, friends of Minety, families friends etc etc)

More information on what should be a tremendous match will be announced shortly on this site.
