Saturday 19th of March 2022 brought with it the special occasion of being Ben Scott's 100th league game for the Minety 1st XV (according to statistics available to us).
Ben was previously awarded his gold tie due to his years of service to the club, and in the knowledge there are game statistics lost to us that would have seen him hit this official milestone sooner! However, it's now website official, and it's as good a time as any to thank Ben for his years of service to the club.
This is Ben's first season as Captain of Minety 1st XV, but Ben has been a true clubman over the years spending numerous seasons captaining the 2nd team and keeping them afloat when times were tough.
It's fair to say Ben's Minety career hasn't always been smooth sailing; what with his tendency of getting injured and opposition team's tendency to want to hurt him. It's also not been incredibly full of scoring highlights! Ben's current record see's him with a scoring average of 0.01 try a game! (1 try in 100 games in case that isn't clear...)
But thank you Ben. You do far more for the club than you probably receive credit for, and finger's crossed we can see this season out in style for you!
