The big freeze continues

Saturday 9 January 2010: the snow and sub-zero temperatures continue and rugby at Minety begins to become a distant memory.

Today’s scheduled games away against North Dorset and at home against Melksham seconds were postponed, along with nearly every other sporting fixture in Britain.

In the unlikely event of a thaw, the next games for Minety are due to be on Saturday 16 January, when the firsts are supposed to play at home against Devizes and the seconds are due to travel away to take on the Combe Down 2nd XV. Kick-offs, weather permitting, will be at 2.30 pm.

No doubt the Fixture Secretary will let us know when the various postponed fixtures are now due to be played.
