A good crowd of spectators enjoyed spectacular spring sunshine as they watched both Minety’s senior teams playing at home last Saturday.
Minety firsts faced a tough test against a very physical Calne side but kept their cool and ran in six excellent tries, eventually winning 44-18.
The seconds came close but couldn’t quite catch Devizes thirds, narrowly losing 17-20.
Reports on both games are now in the match reports section.
This Saturday, 31 March, the firsts play away against Swindon seconds while the Dreamers travel to Colerne. Kick-offs: 3.00 pm.
And don’t forget the Minety RFC Seven-a-Side Tournament on Saturday 21 April. Jack Ward tells us he’s now booked an ice cream van, a bucking bronco and a bouncy castle to supplement the bar and the barbecue. It should be a great day out.
