It was a cold and frustrating afternoon for Minety firsts. They played well and defended stoutly but, short of replacements and struggling to match their opponents for speed, strength and fitness, went down by 44 points to nil. Further details in the Match Reports section.

Minety seconds, meanwhile, travelled away to play a friendly against non-league Faringdon. They too lost it in the second half, but not before Olivier Brassatt scored his first try for Minety and Milo Hartley made his presence felt at scrumhalf. Brief details of who else scored for Minety and what else happened in the Match Reports section.

Minety’s next games are on Saturday 13 February, which is Bradford-on-Avon Day. The firsts travel away for a crucial game against the B-o-A 1st XV, while Minety seconds play at home against their Bradford counterparts. Kick-offs at 2.15 pm.
