Minety took a big step towards avoiding relegation by blitzing Trowbridge seconds 65-15 on Saturday.

A report on the game, with photos, is now in the Match Reports section.

Calne also won on Saturday which sets up a tense finish to the season. In addition to bottom club Avonvale, who are doomed to go down, there are now five other teams facing possible relegation from Dorset & Wilts Division 1 North: Minety, Calne, Trowbridge seconds, Marlborough and Devizes seconds.

The only way that Minety can be sure of staying up is to beat Calne away next Saturday in their final league game of the season. Do come and support Minety in this key fixture. Kick-off: 3.00 pm.

Please could you put an update on the website for the sevens saying that there  will now also be a ladies’ competition running along side the men’s. Six ladies’ teams will be competing for a trophy and their games will be spread over the three pitches.
