Minety’s cup games this Saturday have been called off.
The firsts were unable to raise a side to travel down to Puddletown, which in turn means, according to the rules of the competition, that the seconds are not allowed to compete in their cup game against Swindon College Old Boys seconds.
Meanwhile, back on the website, there’s a new section for old photos and stories of Minety RFC from way back when. It’s called The Iron Age and Andy Somers has sent in two pictures of ancient Minety touring teams to get us started.
Next Saturday, 23 October, both Minety’s senior teams play at home. The firsts play hosts to Supermarine while the seconds take on the Midsomer Norton 4th XV.
