Minety held on for a narrow 12-17 win away against Calne on Saturday. This takes us to the top of Dorset & Wilts Division 1 North, though our rivals have games in hand.
Meanwhile, having been stripped of players by the firsts, the Dreamers were unable to fulfill their scheduled away fixture against Warminster seconds on Saturday and were docked five league points.

Looking ahead to the end of the season, details have now been announced for this year’s Minety Seven-a-Side Tournament. It’s being held on Saturday 3 May 2014 with the first game kicking off at 10 am. There will be 15 men’s teams and 10 ladies’ teams taking part, plus a BBQ, cheap bar, games, bouncy castle and lots more.
