Saturday 12 October 2013

The sun shone, there was an excellent Friends-of-Minety-Rugby-Club lunch, and  both Minety’s senior teams performed well on the field.

The 1st XV moved up to second place in Dorset & Wilts Division 1 North with a gutsy and well-disciplined 26-5 defeat of the Swindon second string, while the Dreamers got back to winning ways with an emphatic 31-3 victory over Devizes thirds. Further details of both games are now in the Match Reports section.

The menu for Ladies Night on Saturday 16 November 2013 is now here on the website. Make sure you see Jack Ward to get your tickets.

Meanwhile, this Friday, the Minety RFC skittles team are taking on 9 Pack and skipper Tim Vaughan is looking for players to assist in the beer drinking and occasional skittling. See the Skittles Results & Reports page for further details.

  1. Latest news on Andy Edwards is that he is now home, wearing a “halo” device and making a steady recovery. Best wishes, Andy, from all of us here at Minety Rugby Club.

This Saturday, 19 October 2013, both Minety’s senior teams are involved in cup action. The firsts travel away to take on Blandford in the Dorset & Wilts Vase while the seconds stay home to take on their counterparts from Westbury. Kick-offs: 2.30 pm.
