Results from this weekend’s action

It’s tight at both the top and bottom of the table after this weekend’s round of match in D&W1N. Frome started the day top of the table but after a narrow home loss to in form Sutton Benger, the Somerset team dropped down to 5th place. Avonvale now top the table, with 34 points, after a hard fought match against 7th placed Royal Wootton Bassett. Benger move up to 2nd place, two points off the top, with Warminster, who started the season with a 5 point penalty from the previous season, now up to 3rd with 31 points after crushing Calne.

Melksham’s win over Trowbridge puts them 4th, also with 31 points.

At the the bottom end of the table, Minety’s bonus point win against Bradford lifts them to 11th place with 12 points, four clear of Bradford who now prop up the table with 8 points. In Division 3 North Bath Saracens kept up their impressive winning run with a huge win over 3rd placed Royal Wootton Bassett while 2nd placed Chippenham maintained their run with a good away win at 8th placed Melksham.
