In Division 1 Frome, back in the league this year, kept up their unbeaten record with a fine win over Chippenham, who have yet to register a victory thgis season. Royal Wotton Bassett and Sutton Benger, the only other two unbeaten teams, recorded victories against Trowbridge and Calne respectively.

Minety picked up a couple of bonus points in their loss at home to Marlborough, one for scoring four tries and the other for losing by 7 or fewer points. They presently sit in 4th place behind the unbeaten teams.

Elsewhere, Avonvale thumped Bradford while Warminster comfortably saw off Melksham.

4 points for a win, 2 for a draw with 1 bonus point for scoring 4 or more tries and anoth bonus point for losing by 7 points or fewer.

In Division 3 only two of the planned 4 fixtures went ahead with Bath Saracens winning 35 to 10 against Bradford on Avon and Trowbridge losing comprehensively at home to top of the table Chippenham by 76 – 5.

Thus far, from 2 rounds of fixtures, 5 of the 9 scheduled fixtures have resulted in Walk Overs with only 4 matches contested. Melksham have conceded both of their fixtures. Minety have yet to play a 2nd XV fixture, their first game being conceded by Melksham and the second called off when Minety were unable to field a team at Warminster.

Chippenham, by dint of a Home Walk Over against Swindon in the first week and the win at Trwobridge in week 2 top the table, just ahead of Bath Saracens, who have won both of their games. Melksham sit at the bottom of the table with -10 points, resulting form their two concessions.
