Minety return to action at Corsham

Minety 1st XV return to league action at Corsham on Saturday 6th February, kick off 2.15pm.  It will be a welcome return to action for the inform Minety squad who lost their match last week thanks to the dreadful conditions underfoot at Minety Fields.

But while Minety sit in second place in the league with 48 points from their 12 matches, and will be chasing their 8th consecutive league win, their opposition have certainly turned their season around after a sluggish start.  Sitting in 6th place, on 42 points, Corsham are unbeaten in the league since November with a string of wins over Trowbridge, Swindon, Devizes, Royal Wootton Bassett and Supermarine.

It will not be an easy task for Andy Ward’s team, without influential skipper Andrew (Wallace) Hibbard and the experienced second row Ben Collins, but they will be looking to build on a successful league start for 2016 which has seen them win both of their matches, scoring 104 points whilst conceding only 7.
