Dear Friends

I met Bryn Parry recently and was very inspired by the ‘Help for Heroes’ charity he has set up.

In essence, our brave Army, Navy and Air force boys and girls all go to war as part of their job, there is no choice. The Iraq war has been very controversial and many did not agree with Great Britain being involved, but the end result is that we have soldiers maimed through no fault of their own who need help.

I am going to attempt in every way to do ‘The Big Battlefield Bike Ride’. The ride will begin in Portsmouth before crossing to the beaches of Normandy, via Dieppe to the Somme and then to Calais. We will cross to Dover early on 1st June and travel by coach to London where we will join other rides and form a large group that will ride through the capital to the Cenotaph and our grand finale.

I will train properly and give it my best shot, so please will you pledge me some money so that I can ‘have a go’ to help raise funds to build a wonderful new gym and rehabilitation pool for these brave heroes.
