Minety Stars Give The Feds A Kicking
Back

Nobody could really work out the score, it was a very close game once it got started.

The game was marred by a very badly broken leg for one of the Police Gentlemen after the game was just 10 seconds old. Apparently, he has written his last speeding ticket of 2005.. we all wish him a speedy recovery, within the boundaries of current traffic law, obviously.

Soon after this event, the Police scored a couple of quick tries which spurred the combination side to knuckle down and come back with some very powerful forward play along with inventive back moves.

Andy Hurley played a key role in the front row for the first half, Dave Church came in the second half and instantly made an impression, breaking the Police back line on a number of occasions and nearly scoring a virtuoso try, but not quite!!

Martin Coe played very powerfully on the left wing for the entire match, asking questions of his opposite number and full back to create space allowing fellow team mates to steal the glory on many occasions.

A well supported night was enjoyed by a number of past and present Minety players, including the GOB of Luke Huckin, providing some the most amusing side line banter that anybody had heard for a long time, keep it up Luke, God loves you...
